My desire to support others experiencing shame, disconnect and overwhelm is born out of personal experience struggling and healing in these areas.
I'm quite familiar with a loud inner critic, who pops up accompanied by a heavy sense of shame when I make a mistake. Feeling cut off from my body is something I've experienced through many years of my life. Anxiety and fear have prevented me from experiencing the connection with others that I desire. Yet over time I have found ways to move with or through these experiences, allowing me to experience increasing presence, meaning, connection, aliveness, and expansion. Healing isn't always easy and often has unexpected twists and turns, but every time it is so worth it.

Self compassion practices have supported me to create an inner foundation of compassion, which I can tap into when the inner critic appears. Learning to shift awareness from the head to the body through practices such as dance and body awareness meditations have allowed me to access its wisdom, including from challenging emotions such as shame and anger that teach me how to have compassion for myself and set boundaries. Staying with sometimes intense experiences of anxiety in social situations has allowed connection to feel increasingly safe and nourishing. These and other experiences have gifted me with a deep knowing that it is possible to experience self compassion, presence, energy, and connection even if shame, disconnect and overwhelm has been your norm. I wholeheartedly believe transformation and healing is possible for you, regardless of how stuck you might currently feel.
Trainings and Experience
I have completed the Transpersonal Coaching Psychology Certificate Programme through Alef Trust, providing me with knowledge of the theory behind transpersonal coaching, a wide range of practices, and 50 hours of experiential coaching practice. I have also undergone a 7 month Tantra Facilitator Training through Innercamp, from which I gained knowledge and experience of the tantric perspective as well as a range of tantric practices including chakra healing. I completed a Foundation in Counselling course through Heartwood, which allowed me to gain counselling skills including effective questioning. I am an accredited coach through the International Association of Coaches, Therapists and Mentors.

In addition to training in a number of practical healing modalities, I have theoretical knowledge in the area of psychology as well as transpersonal psychology more specifically thanks to studying an undergraduate degree in Psychology and a master's degree in Consciousness, Spirituality and Transpersonal Psychology (Alef Trust). The final research dissertation for my masters explored individuals experiences of healing relational trauma through 5Rhythms dance and has been published in The Journal of Transpersonal Psychology (you can read the article here).

In addition to these practical and theoretical trainings, I have personal experience exploring a wide range of modalities that have helped me in my personal healing journey. These include 5Rhythms dance , Counselling, Meditation, Yin Yoga, Subconscious Reprogramming, Parts Work, Shamanic Journeying, and Tantric Practices.
